A great way to increase math skills. The negative numbers fish game is a great drill for students and great for Common Core standards

Thinking of the CHILDREN...

Please allow in app purchase for ads to be removed & an on of switch for connection options to social sights in settings would be nice... ??? Id even pay for the option to have social connects removed.

Good and Bad

I downloaded this app for my fourth graders, but my then 3 year old loves the fish so it has really become his game. The pros are the overall concept of the game. I really like how it makes the player decompose the number. It reinforces a skill in an enjoyable way. My biggest cons are 1) often there are no matches for the bubbles and the fish starts to shrink. I understand the idea of shrinking fish if a player isnt making correct matches. However, if the game isnt providing those possible matches, it seems unfair to penalize the player. 2) I dont care for the customization of the fish being a timed situation. Give a player a chance to really try on all the options.

My 3-6 year olds love this!

My son started using this app at around 3 years old and loved it, hes still using it at 5.5 and enjoys its higher levels. At the beginning, its great for number recognition then slowly difficulty increases to work on addition and subtraction, and there is a lot of room to learn with the other operations. At 5.5, his math skills are definitely more advanced than his peers in kindergarten, and higher than even those of his cousin who started first grade 5 months ago, and I believe this app contributed to that. We encourage his math skills with other day to day interactions, but this game compliments that and is fun for him.

My cousins love this game! I also use it to practice math over the summer!
